Consultancy

Understand it.
Then fix it.

An independent review across the five disciplines that quietly consume your operating budget. It is quoted as a fixed fee, and the findings belong to you.

Where it starts

You suspect you are paying too much. We will prove it either way.

Most engagements start in much the same way. You suspect you are paying too much, or getting too little, and you do not have the specialist time in house to prove it one way or the other.

We do. A review gives you a clear, evidenced picture of what you are buying, what it should cost and where the service is falling short, written in language you can take straight into a board meeting.

Fixed fee, fixed scope, and no obligation to go any further.

Service lines

Five disciplines under one consultancy

Open each one to see what it covers and the results it usually produces.

Risk assessment, security strategy, manned guarding specification and review, contract benchmarking and post-incident review. We will tell you what level of security your risk profile actually justifies, which sometimes turns out to be less than you are currently buying.

Usual results: right-sized cover · a defensible risk position · evidenced spend

Service specification, contract structure, performance framework design and supplier benchmarking across hard and soft FM. We compare what you have specified against what is actually being delivered, then close the distance between the two.

Cleaning is reviewed here. The cleaning specification, audit regime and cost are assessed as part of soft FM rather than on their own, alongside maintenance, waste, grounds and front of house. That is usually where both the savings and the service failures are hiding.

Usual results: clearer specifications · enforceable SLAs · fewer disputed invoices

Regulatory and contractual compliance review across your outsourced services, covering licensing, right to work, health and safety obligations, subcontractor governance and audit readiness. The aim is to find the exposure before an auditor does.

Usual results: a documented compliance position · closed gaps · audit-ready evidence

Independent assessment of security and building technology, covering CCTV, access control, monitoring, integration and system lifecycle. We sell nothing, so the specification serves the requirement rather than a product line.

Usual results: a fit-for-purpose specification · no over-specification · systems that integrate properly

Tender design, supplier selection, contract negotiation and consolidation strategy. We run the process properly so that the result holds up, and so you are not back renegotiating it in eighteen months.

Usual results: competitive pricing · better contract terms · a supplier base you can manage

The process

How a review works

01

Scope

A short conversation to agree what is in and what is out. You get a fixed fee before we start.

02

Discover

Site visits, document review, supplier interviews and cost analysis. We work around your operation rather than through it.

03

Report

Findings, evidence and recommendations in priority order, written for decision makers rather than for filing.

04

Decide

You act on it in house, or we help you implement it. That is entirely your call and the report is yours either way.

Consultancy questions

Before you commission a review

What is included in a TAC security review?

Risk assessment against your actual threat profile, examination of your current guarding or system specification, contract and cost benchmarking, compliance checks on licensing and right to work, and a prioritised set of recommendations. Site visits, document review and supplier interviews are all included in the fixed fee.

How long does a consultancy review take?

A single site review usually completes within two to four weeks of scoping. Multi-site and multi-service reviews are scoped individually, but you always receive the fixed fee and a delivery date before any work begins.

Do we have to use TAC to implement the recommendations?

No. The report is yours either way. Many clients implement it in house or hand it to their existing supplier. Others go on to a managed service partnership with us. There is no obligation attached to the review.

Can you run a competitive tender for security or facilities services?

Yes. We design the tender, write the specification, manage the supplier long list and the evaluation scoring, and support contract negotiation. Because we take no supplier commissions, the evaluation is genuinely independent.

Do you review cleaning contracts separately?

Cleaning is reviewed within facilities consultancy as part of soft FM. The cleaning specification, audit regime and cost are assessed alongside maintenance, waste and front of house rather than in isolation, because that is usually where both the savings and the service failures are hiding.

Will you work alongside our incumbent supplier?

We do that routinely. A review is not a prelude to replacing anyone. Where the incumbent is performing well we will say so and focus on tightening the specification and the commercials. Where they are not, you get the evidence you need to have that conversation properly.

Start with a review.

Fixed fee, fixed scope, and findings you own. Most clients tell us the first review pays for itself.
